Situation:
The National D-Day Museum, a museum of the American
Experience during the WWII years, celebrates the
American spirit, the teamwork, optimism, courage and
sacrifice of the men and women who won World War II
and promotes the exploration and expression of these
values by future generations. The museum saw the
need to develop a website and use it as a primary
communication tool for it's growing number of
constituents and supporters world-wide.
Objective:
To create an on-line experience for website visitors
that is an extension of the National D-Day Museum,
providing a wealth of educational information, and
building an emotional connection to the Museum and
its mission. A strong emphasis was dedicated to
making the website accessible to the greatest
possible audience.
Solution:
Pixelstix worked closely with the National D-Day
Museum to create a clean, professional graphic
design that allowed users to immediately view all
sections of the site at a glance and quickly locate
desired information. Pixelstix also developed a
queuing system for the membership application as
well as an online storefront and custom newsletter
application.
Impact Results:
Many new memberships and donations have been
generated because of the new website and the new
design has resulted in millions of visitors since
it's launch. |
